Description :

Beta Silicone HR 500 SI 6 is a heat resistant aluminum paint based on silicone resin.

Recommended uses :

For long period protection of heated pipelines, smoke stacks, exhaust pipes and other heated surfaces subjected to temperature up to 550-600⁰C/1022 -1112⁰F.

Surface Preparation :

New construction
Metal surface must be blasted cleaned to SSPC-SP10 (Sa 2,5 SIS 05 5900)

Maintenance
Remove any remaining old paint on the surface. Corroded areas must be prepare by hand or power tool cleaning to SSPC-SP 2/3 (St 3 SIS 05 5900)

Application Conditions:

As dictated by normal good painting practice.
In confined spaces provide adequate ventilation during drying and application.

Remarks :

Can be used directly on blast cleaned steel. For maximum corrosion protection, a zinc silicone primer at 40 micron dry film thickness is recommended. But this will lower heat resistance to approx 400⁰ C/752⁰F.
May be recoated when dry or after being heated to one hour above 200⁰C/390⁰F.
