Recoating
Interval :
Betapox
(System/high build ) : 36 hours (250C,
770F, 75% RH).
Betapox (25 microns/1 mil ) : 24 hours (250C,
770F, 75% RH).
Betanyl ( System/high build ) : 48 hours (250C,
770F, 75% RH).
Betanyl (25 microns/1 mil ) : 24 hours (250C,
770F, 75% RH).
The overcoating
interval of 24 hours for 25 microns/1 mil Betapox
or Betanyl is only valid in case subsequent coat
is applied more than 3 days after the first thin
coat, otherwise as for system/high build.
Overcoating is expected to take place within 6
months after application of Betasil ZSP GZ 2.
Surface
Preparation :
All welds must be
free from pinholes and all welds spatter must be
removed. All sharp edges must be rounded off or
removed in such a way that the paint film
thickness can be built up on all surfaces.
Gritblasting to minimum Swedish standard S15
055990 Sa 2.5 (SSPC Sp 10) with a surface
profile equivalent to regotest No.3 BN 10a to BN
11 or Keane Tator valley roughness 75
microns/3 mils).
When blasting is completed, remove residual grit
and dust by vacuum cleaning.
Curing
Conditions :
From 100C/
150F to 400C/ 1050F.
Curing needs minimum 50%, preferably above 65%
relative humidity. Drying time are strongly dependant on both temperature and humidity and
deviations from the standard conditions may
shorten or prolong the overcoating interval.
Precautions
:
This product is
flammable, keep away from heat or open flames.
As general rules, inhalation of solvent vapors or
paint mist and contact of liquid paint with skin
or eyes should be avoided.
Forced ventilation should be provided when
applying in confined spaces. Respiratory, skin
and eyes protection are always recommended.
