BETA HEAT RESISTANT SILICONE ACRYLIC

E294

Description :

Beta Heat Resistant Silicone Acrylic E 294 is a heat resistant aluminum paint based on an acrylic modified silicone resin.

Recommended uses :

For long period protection of heated pipe lines, smoke stacks, exhaust pipes and other heated surfaces subjected to temperature up to 2200C/4280F.

Features :

  • Excellent resistance to weathering
  • Fast drying

Physical Data :

Gloss : Semi – flat
Color : Silver
Specific gravity : 1.1 kg/ liter
Volume solids : Approx 29%
Theoretical coverage : 9.6 m2/liter for 30 microns d.f.t.
Dry to touch : 1 hour at 250C/770F
Flash point : Greater than 230C/740F
     
Application Details :

Mix ratio : One pack
Application Method : Preferably be applied by conventional spray, use any suitable proprietary equivalent.

Brush or roller can be used for small areas or touch up/spot repair only.

Recommended dry film

    
Thickness : 30 micron dry equivalent to 104 micron wet.
Thinner : T 008


Surface Preparation :

New construction

Metal surface must be blast cleaned to Sa 2 1/2 or SSPC – SP10.
For zinc silicate primed steel, the surface should be clean, dry and free from any contamination.

Maintenance :

Remove any remaining old paint on the surface. Corroded areas must be prepared by hand or power tool cleaning to St 3 or SSPC - SP 2/3.
